Wedding Side Dishes, Vegetables & Salads
Lots of perfectly put together flavoursome dishes to accompany your wedding buffet or sit down wedding breakfast. Again, this list is not exhaustive, but just designed to give you a flavour of what we're about. We like to keep things seasonal on the vegetable front (Karen gets all funny about eating asparagus and strawberries in the winter.. it's just not right!).
Baby roast potatoes with rosemary.
Creamy mash - plain with good butter, or with cheese, or garlic, or olive oil, or spring greens, or mustard.. just about anything really.
New potatoes tossed in butter & fresh mint.
Hassleback potatoes with sea salt.
Braised red cabbage, apple & onion.
Roasted root vegetables in olive oil & thyme.
Slow roasted fennel in white wine.
Petit pois with softened onion and rosemary.
Spring greens with cream & button onions.
Garlic button mushrooms.
Roast parsnips in honey with parmesan.
Steamed gree beans, mage tout and sugar snaps in herb butter.
Baby summer vegetables with lemon vinaigrette.
Steamed baby courgettes.
Steamed or griddled asparagus (best in spring of course). National Asparagus Day is 23rd April, Shakespeare's birthday!!
Home-made luxury coleslaws & salads.
Pesto rice salad with spring onions, toasted pine nuts and parmesan shavings.
Baby spinach, avocado & pancetta salad.
Root vegetable coleslaw.
Fennel and red cabbage coleslaw.
Slow roasted cherry tomatoes with oregano and breadcrumbs.
Allotment salad (with or without cold poached chicken) & with homemade tarragon salad cream.
Waldorf salad with crisp apple and walnuts and melted Camembert dressing.
Caesar salad (with or without griddled chicken).
Ripe tomato, basil & buffalo mozzarella with basil oil.
Griddled asparagus with quails eggs, parmesan shavings and crispy pancetta.
New potato salad with chives.
Endive, Roquefort and pear with walnut dressing.
Baby broad bean, mint, lemon and olive oil with Pecorino shavings.
